Semaglutide Dose Planner

This planner lays out the standard semaglutide titration schedule week by week, with the average weight-loss range reported in the STEP trial, your BMI, and a rough estimate of how long your goal weight might take. It is educational only.

Educational only — not a prescription. This is the schedule for Wegovy, the semaglutide approved for chronic weight management. Ozempic is the same drug approved for type 2 diabetes, with different maintenance doses, and is not interchangeable with this plan. Dosage, titration pace, and suitability must be decided with a licensed clinician. These estimates come from published STEP 1 averages for the 2.4 mg dose and don’t apply to everyone.

The Semaglutide Dose Planner is only an estimate. The titration steps and weight-loss ranges shown are population averages from published clinical-trial data, and real results vary widely with starting weight, tolerance and side effects, diet, activity, and other health conditions. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a dosing instruction — a prescriber may set a different schedule or a slower pace for you.

The calculator does not determine eligibility for any weight-loss medications or treatments provided via &you. Consultation with a licensed healthcare provider is required to assess suitability for any medical treatment based on individual health and medical history.

What is semaglutide?

A GLP-1 receptor agonist originally developed for type 2 diabetes (Ozempic), approved at higher doses for chronic weight management (Wegovy). It works by slowing gastric emptying and reducing appetite.

Where do these weight-loss numbers come from?

The STEP 1 trial (Wilding et al., NEJM 2021) reported mean ~15% body-weight loss at 68 weeks on 2.4 mg/week semaglutide. Earlier-tier percentages come from the same study's titration timeline.

Who shouldn't take semaglutide?

People with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, pregnancy, or severe GI disease. Always screen with a licensed clinician — never start or titrate without medical oversight.
