What is Saxenda®?
Saxenda is the brand-name version of liraglutide, an FDA-approved GLP-1 receptor agonist for weight loss. It works by mimicking a hormone that slows digestion and reduces appetite, helping you feel less hungry. Studies show that people using Saxenda lost an average of 9% of their body weight in one year.
How does it work?
Saxenda helps with weight loss by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone to reduce appetite and slow food movement through the stomach. This helps you feel fuller longer, leading to reduced food intake. Combined with healthy eating and regular exercise, it supports long-term weight goals.
